Hello Jack and Nick and all other list members,
I will be there with my family to say hello, I hope that I will be there
with my new toy, the non forward look 1966 Chrysler Imperial
convertible.
I want to thank all those who gave feedback regarding my questions about
title, insurance and temporary tag.
The computer with all the email answers on it needs repairing. Many of
you gave me interesting answers and advice, the story is this, that
after many MVD phone calls I am still not sure if they will give me a
temporary tag, some told me yes and some gave me a definitive No. Plan
A: I will try to go there in person and see what's happens. If I get the
tag I drive it to Carlisle myself.
Plan B: is have the car transported to my brother in law who lives in
Knoxville .He will request for the Tennessee tag and I will leave the
car there for a year or so. Plan B is only when the car still needs some
attention.
I bought the car on EBay, and have not seen it in person, so I wish
there are no surprises.
(Have a 595US Dollar Quote for transport from Newark, New Jersey to
Knoxville, Tennessee) any remarks? Advice? About transporting a
convertible, any experiences?
Plan C:
Ship the car to the Netherlands, if the car is as good as it looks.
Will be arriving the 8th of July at Newark and drive from there to
Carlisle, guess I will be there on Friday or Saturday.
