Hi,

A few month ago I installed sound deadener underneath my carpet. It was a no name brand, it looked like carpet padding with aluminum foil on one side. Anyways, I cut it and glued it in with 3M spray adhesive, and it worked great. It cut the noise in the car by about 70%.
