Re: [FWDLK] Soundproofing/undercoating

Ken, on a very-silmilar 'thread' on the "other"
message board, I described how I very-inexpensively spray-canned
zinc-chromate
(an 'old' Navy-trick--let's see; Navy : salt-water?? hmmm, think
it'll work??) the sand-blasted undercarriage, and then applied
spray-can gloss-black it it, AND THEN, had the undercarriage be
undercoated (except for the
framerails, etc).

Now, desert-CA ISN'T exactly Toledo, OH (where I "grew-up") , & I
don't make it a habit
to drive in rain or snow (& yes, we get 'it' here, @ 4k elev.) , but all
I used to do, when Horrie
won his 3 best-in-class WPC natl meet awards, was re-spray the
undercarriage, to brighten it up.

btw, my undercarriage resto was done in 1980,
and , so far, so-good !

I have nothing against POR, except for time & money! Hell, I've
treated my swamp cooler
panels with it, as it gets "harder" with water-
contact, "they" say!

Please find/read that thread. on the 'other' FWDLK board.
