Re: [FWDLK] FINDING THE ORIGINAL OWNER.

Do you know in what state it was originally titled?
My car was originally titled in Iowa, so I wrote to the Iowa Dept of Trans, and they had it on record. If you need the mailing address for the DOT in a certain state, try asking your local Licensing Agency

Does anybody know how to trace a car back to the 1st original owner? I own a car I am told was bought new by a big celebrity in the mid 1950 and I now own it. I would like to verify this before I advertise it as belonging to this celebrity. The Dept. of Motor Vehicles only goes back 15 years and I have owned the car for almost 20 years. It also came from out of state? I live in Pennsylvania. Any help will be appreciated.
