Roger, i didn't say that there were a lot of "choices" in license
plates, prior to 1963, but, that there were a lot of different STYLE(s)
of license plates, up to 1963--course, that was before I was born (or, @
least 'moved' here, complements of the "Nav").
I think I just figgered out why the yellow-on-black color scheme was
selected: they were the same colors are the predecessing 1956-1962
plates, but in 'reverse-
order'!
