Re: [FWDLK] 403 radio valve



As I understand it, "Valve" is the common term for electronic "tube" in
Britain. I suspect it derives from the way it controls electricity like a
water valve controls water flow in a pipe.

Last time I checked, valve was an appropriate synonym for tube. Its accuracy
varies depending upon what the tube actually does, but some tubes are
effectively valves.
