Title: Re: [FWDLK] Cruising Speed
Back in my crazy youth, my buddy had a new '57 Fury. Many, many times we saw the speedo needle go behind the faceplate, which was well past the 150mph that it showed. No doubt that it was inaccurate at that speed, but it wasn't that far off. I'm guessing in the 140's. this was down a loooong hill, locally known as "100 mile hill", on Rt 40 west of Baltimore.
And we survived those years!!!

Vincent, My 57 Plymouth with 318 dual 4 barrel motor and Torqueflite with 3.23 axle will cruise all day at 70 and probably a lot more. as for top speed I haven't pushed it all the way but I'd say 125 is well within reach! Dick
