After 40 years, pushbutton shifting has returned. MoonEyes, one of the old hot rod companies, has come out with a modern electronic pushbutton shifter that will work on almost any automatic transmission. It utilizes an electronic stepper motor, externally mounted on the trans, to actuate the shifts. The shift motor is controlled by a little computer. The buttons can be mounted anywhere.
