Actually, it's a function of many of the new viruses right now.  They scour
infected machines for emails to send junk to.

Unfortunately, there is little we can do except STRONGLY URGE EVERYONE TO
GET AN ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM, AND KEEP IT UPDATED.

Sadly, the majority of folks out there still do not do so.  =(
