Re: [FWDLK] Barratt Jackson Auction

I just came back from Fla. and I was at the Barret-Jackson auction on Sat. Christine wasn't sold while I was there.
The car appeared to be a Belvedere with all the Aluminum trim painted silver, 150 mph speedometer, a lousy paint job on the dash. The car had a good shine ,but I didn't open the hood so I don't know about the engine. I would be ashamed to drive that car to the local cruise night.

All

Has anyone taken notice of the price the "'58 Plymouth Fury Christine Car" sold for at the B/J in Palm Beach, FL auction yesterday.  According to the Palm Beach Post the car sold for $167,400.  I saw the car yesterday.  I also took a few pictures of it.  I guess the person who had the winning bid was a movie buff.  I believe there was documentation that the car was the #1 car in the picture and the last car in the picture.  I don't believe it was one of the cars that they trashed to make the movie.  Anyway, I couldn't believe the price.  That does wonders for all Exner cars.  Just wanted to let everyone know.
