Re: [FWDLK] Bubble Windshields

Re: windshields - two things :

1/ The Timo Tanskanen windshields are quite nice, in that they are new and
they fit... the cost, when I ordered a couple about 5 years ago, was over
$1000.00 per unit, plus another $300-$400 to crate and ship to East Coast
from West Coast.

But - and here's the but - Timo's windshields have the gawdawful white logo
prominently displayed at the bottom, dead center ; says "TTR" (stands for
Timo Tanskanen Restorations") and has a gear-looking thing... Heck, for
that kind of money, I'd either want the correct Mopar logo, or no logo at
all ! And, his logo is in between the laminate, so no way to hide it or
get rid of it. White, too - really sticks out like a sore thumb. If this
matters to you, better discuss the logo with Timo before ordering !

I do believe Timo's windshields are available tinted/shaded only (not
clear). Might be wrong about that, though.

2/ As Wayne Graefen previously mentionned, the 1960 Chryslers all used a new
"bubble" windshield, which was discontinued in 1961 - EXCEPT for
convertibles, where the bubble windshield was exclusively used until 1964
inclusive.
