Re: [FWDLK] Bubble Windshields

Here's the scoop on hardtop/convert windshields.  Does not apply to Imperials:

All 57 hardtops (2dr, 4dr) used a NAGS 451 windshield
In 58, all but Plymouth switched to the NAGS 453 windshield
In 59, Plymouth went the the 453 windshield
All 57-59 convertibles used the 453 windshield

And the 57-59 "sedan windshield" is the 454.

About glasses who could tell me why there are two "rear quarter" glasses # on the '57 Imperial sedan (with posts) ? One "with hole" (NAGS 483 / 484) and another "without hole" (NAGS 558 / 559) ? What is this hole ? The glass could be tilted outward (with a hinge as seen on some cars) so the hole would be for a locking system as on vent. glass ?
Surprisingly the '58-59 Imperial sedan changed to another rear quarter glass (564 / 565) ....
