I think you are out of luck getting the old TC off the engine unless you can
turn the crankshaft.  Even then, using a normal length open end wrench is
tough.  I cut up an open end wrench and welded it onto a piece of 1/2" pipe
to make access easier.  The hemi's use 8 bolts on the TC.

If memory serves me correctly, the aluminium bell housings are different for
the air cooled model.  I'd use the air cooled TC and plumb it up to the
engine cooler (or a tranny cooler).  My dad ran his with both types of
cooling, but he ran the ole car hard and loaded it up with heavy tools.
