Don't forget the third and most-opted-for option: restored and preserved by the restorer who discovers it.

Short of sitting and rotting into the dirt or going the demo derby route I
don't much care what someone does with their car.

Here's why we should all care: they aren't making any more Forward Look cars.
The more originals that are modified around, the fewer repro parts will be available because it won't be worth the cost and effort to reproduce them for fewer and fewer cars.
