Re: [FWDLK] Plugged indices

You can get spark plug indexing washer sets from various speed shops around
the country. The usual procedure is to mark the location of the side
electrode on the plug body with a lead pencil, then try various different
washers until the mark points where you want it. Not worth the effort on a
normal street-driven car, probably not as much affect as a change in the
weather on horsepower & mileage.

Has anyone ever done this (can you recall the protocol, or, better yet,
does anyone have a cylinder head lying around, that you can
'experiment-with', in this regard?

And, yes, I'm aware of multiple-electrode plugs, that are designed to
'eliminate' this condition/problem.

There's a good apark plug article in the "Winter" 2004 issue of Muscle
Car Review, which is back in publication, by Primedia.
