I just thought of another possibility, which I've read in Chrysler's
no.10 Service Reference Booklet about Door Adjustments for the 1957
models.
When it's the top that makes it hard to close the window(s), it might
be the rubber insulators at the body bolts, which hold the body on the
frame. These rubber parts tend to dry during the years, or Body Bolts
might get loose and loose their shims.
Anyway, it might be a good idea to check your door alignment. There
might be a slight misalignment of the body on the frame, and, as a
result, some misalignment of the door opening AND, especially with
hardtops, rear window quarter window movement.

Neil -

It may be the nylon channel that is at the very back where the roof rail
meets the rear window opening.  This is the thing that guides the 'up, then
over' movement of the quarter window. I've cleaned a number of them and they
seem to collect dirt, dried Lubriplate, etc., which makes the 'over'
operation difficult. Also, this channel can be aligned for better operation.
