[FWDLK] Flocking Roof-rail Weatherstrips

These 'guys' have already been made, somewhere in Finland.

I got mine thru Timo Tanskanen, but understand that he has said, (for an
unknown-reason), that they're not "presently" being made.

They look, & feel, great (and are produced in a correct 1-piece
molding).

However, I STILL had to perform "surgery" to their 'ceiling' areas,
where the window-top came into contact with them, to allow the 1/4
windows to operate well. I first cut a longitudinal slit, through the
weatherstrips' "ceiling", to allow the window-top to proceed into the
weatherstrip's "attic" area.

As that 'cut' still allowed some impeded window movement, I then
cut-away the entire affected ceiling-area (a total distance of a couple
inches)
using a sharp utility knife, & found that the window movement/operation
was ALMOST
perfect (a 90% improvement); the window STILL needs to be manually
pulled-forward about 1/2" , after the window has gone as far as the
regulator will allow it to go, in order to have its front-vertical edge
mate/align properly
with the rear vertical surface of the front door window.

BTW, I had to perform this same surgery on my erstwhile Gary Goers
roof-rail weatherstrips.

The "Finns" also made flocked 1/4- window vertical weatherstips, correct
1957-plastic power seat housings, and plastic power seat
floor-troughs---all impeccably-made. They also made aluminum door sill
plates, but I see that
"the(?)" sill plates are showing-up,on Epay.
