Re: [FWDLK] "FWDLK" license plates!!

What a lucky find!! When I lived in MD, I looked for YOM plates for my '65 and '66 Chryslers. I found 1 tag of a pair at Carlisle for the '65 and a pair for the '66. 1 year later in eastern MD at a Gas and Steam Tractor Show, I found another '65 tag, from a different vendor. The next day it was bugging me so I went out and looked in the trunk of the '65 and found I had bought the matching number tag to complete the pair. Another year later at the same MD show I found the next consecutive number set for the '66. Thought all that was pretty strange.

I could get a FWDLK license plate here in Oregon for my '57 Fury if I wanted to, but I'd much rather have an actual 1957 plate on the car, which is allowed here under Oregon's YOM law.? I got lucky too, as I found an actual regular issue '57 plate, and the plate number is 1N-1957!!? I couldn't get a better vanity plate than that, and now I don't have to pay the extra money for a vanity plate either. . .

I am looking for one also.? Was thinking that I would have to make one by using the original as a mold, but that would be my second choice.
