I think the general plan is that most bidders concentrate so much on the bid
price they forget to look at the shipping cost. Most sellers are fair on
shipping and buyers get lax about checking shipping cost, so the dishonest
sellers get by the radar screen often enough to make it worth a few lost
bids.

Neil -

You can always email the seller prior to the end of the auction asking him
what the shipping charges are. I do that and have people ask me on items
that I'm selling.
