Have it rebuilt locally.  My 1959 RB383 starter failed.  I went to my local parts store (The old fashioned kind with a machine shop on premises.)  And he sent it to a shop he'd been dealing with for years.  Three days and not too much money later, I had it back, with all the correct tags and labels still intact, and a new solenoid switch installed, too!
