Remember, some of the most opulent and expensive cars were sold during the "Great Depression" when a lot of people didn't have a dime...
I think the thing to remember is that almost all of those people buying the cars a B-J are doing so because they think they can recover the cost...It is an investment with a little blue sky.  The depression era purchases were only to satisfy their position in life...the cars depreciated rather rapidly often selling for fractions of their original cost in only a few years.  I'll bet if you asked most of the buyers today when they first became interested in MoPar muscle it was only in the last few years.  Those of us who have lived with them for a lifetime have a totally different perspective. If we don't have what we want now , then we will wait and catch them on the rebound.   Marv
