Re: [FWDLK] Eaton-Detroit springs

Ted and all,

When I was in the process of restoring our '55 Imperial Newport I did purchase a rear pair of springs from Eaton through the Chrysler 300 Club International, Inc. (You must be a member of that club to do so).

The results have been excellent as the car sits correctly and rides very well.  I've done both re-arching original springs and now this.  I highly recommend replacing the springs if you are looking to restore the car correctly.

Subject: [FWDLK] Eaton-Detroit springs

Hello

I have followed the spring thread on the list. In attempting to contact Eaton by e-mail I have found their web site does not list any Chrysler springs other than late model vans. All restoration springs seem to be Brand X cars.

Anyone know otherwise? I have a 55 Imperial and am trying to decide whether to use re-bent springs or new. Car rides a little low in the rear., but not much.
