Why do people think DC is reluctant to license reproduction parts?   Just
because there are no parts being reproduced should not mean the fault is
with DC and their licensing agreements.   Given that Chrysler produced fewer
cars per year than Chevrolet on its own should tell you why there are no
parts - there is no viable market.   And the fact that parts that are
reproduced cost so much should also tell why.

Just as with parts when new, costs of production are based on the total cost
of tooling the part divided by the number of parts that could be sold.
Thus if it costs a million dollars to tool a part, and the market for that
part is about 1,000 units,  the tooling cost per part is $1,000,000 divided
by 1,000 - or $1,000.   Manwhile a Ford or Chev reproducer can tool a part
for $1,000,000 and have a potential market of 10,000 or even 100,000 units.
Which reduseces the tooling cost per part to $100 or $10, respectively..

It's called business - free enterprise.  No business can exist without sales
and profits.   Thus no firm is eager to produce parts no one will buy or
parts that cost more to produce than the expected retail price.

The Forward Look era vehicles, sadly, have a poor track record for survival
due to rust, for starters,   Thus there are few surviiors.   And the fewer
the number of survivors, the smaller the potential market.  The muscle car
era  has a high survival rate, plus hugher vehicle market values, which
results in more parts being reproduced.
