[FWDLK] Rear axle outer seal

Hi everyone,

 

I bought a set of new rear axle outer seals (National 8704S) for my '58 Plymouth.

When installing them, the seal lip is too high to touch the axle shaft, and a little bit too low to touch the drum's hub when I put it on the axle shaft.

I no longer have the old seal for comparison purposes, nor do I remember how it was seated.

Am I missing something ? Have I bought the correct seals (I took the reference out of this page : http://www.autohobbydigest.com/8_75.html) ?
