[FWDLK] Springs 'n Things Experiences, Anyone?

I do what Neil has suggested for years.  Save the springs out of parts cars and build my own.  By adding a single long leaf, the set is far stiffer, yet it adds no measureable lift.  I really dislike a finned car with its ass stuck up in the air like a cat in heat.  The fins already give it a look of "lift" in the back when the car sits level. Having over-tweaked springs (like most new springs I see come) gives the cars a non-stock, goofy appearance.

I like my cars a little "hunkered down", so any sort of spring operation usually involves tossing in a 1" to 2" lowering block at each spring (another item I have saved from parts cars) to get the look just right.  The torsion bars and camber / alignment are also part of the process to get it level.

That is just how we do it at my garage.  ;-D
