Neil -

One of my theories on the condition of the trunk support bracings is that
when the Boydster couldn't get the trunk open on Friday afternoon, he called
in one of his goons to use brute force to get it open. The weakened braces
gave way eventually. Or course, if he had known that the lock button was all
that was needed to release the trunk, things might've been different. I've
gotten into a number of previously-unopened junkyard trunks with that tidbit
of knowledge.

It was curious that the trunk remained closed the entire weekend.
