Ray, IIRC, Steve Walter said that the population of Tulsa may have been
160K, in 1957, & that his dad told him to double that number, for his
guess.
Ms. King, only confirmed two guesses, at the unveiling ceremoney, & the
SECOND guess was only about 6000 higher than the magic-number!!
The 1st guess was aroud 600K.
At that time, I wondered why she couldn't have read off a few MORE
guesses, as the winning-number was already disclosed, and the guesses
were closed-out, 50 years ago!
