It seems that's typical of parts departments in general. I know my dealership's parts counter people don't want to be bothered with older stuff ( or newer stuff for that matter) and are rude to customers on a daily basis and my friend is a parts guy in a Lexus dealer in Colorado and he says his co-workers are rude too.

By the way the best spin on filter for Mopar's is an AC Delco (YES,GM) PF2,it's much bigger in size and has a lot more filtering capability than your average parts store filter.
