Re: [FWDLK] 58 Christine on Collector car.....

For me, the "horse's mouth (tell-tale feature)" on a 'restored' car that
I look at, is the condition and/or quality of the door and quarter panel
weathertrips.

Some don't even HAVE them; some still have the worn-out OEM trim, others
have visible pop-rivits showing beneath the fuzzy-sections,
and others have obvious body-paint overspray around them.

I have installed the weatherstrips by using small/short sheetmetal
screws, but I have applied black paint to their heads, so that they are
not visible, when the windows are rolled down.

Another tell-tale is the condition of the brake pedal ; "brand-new" or
badly-worn?

Gary Goers sells those weatherstrips, for our cars. He also makes/sells
a power brake pad, but, I bought one & promptly sold it on Ebay, as I my
OEM pad is not badly worn, and Gary's pad was of relatively poor
detail-quality (obvious re-pop).
