Re: [FWDLK] '57 Blevedere rear paint pattern

Ron and all

I'd like to thank everyone who responded to my question.  It seems that my Belvedere convertible is  not painted correctly.  It is painted with sportone color above the stainless piece under the trunk.  It should be body color.  Back to the paint shop.  It seems that my cars are never finished.  There is always something that has to be done.

Hi John -

Yes, I noticed when I saw your car at Hershey that it was painted above the chrome in the white sporttone color, instead of the main body color.

Here are two images that I found on the net. Should be pretty good detail of what it should look like.

All

Can someone with an original '57 Belvedere with the sportone side strip send me a picture of the rear end of their car.  I painted the rear of my '57 Belvedere convertible with the sportone strip color above the lower stainless strip and I was asked if the paint should end above or below the rear lower stainless strip.  The paint above the strip should be the main body color.  I hope someone is following me with my explanation.  It's a little convoluted.  Please send  off line.  Thanks in advance.

Jimmy=Do you know what I'm talking about?  Do you have an original '57 with sportone in your stock?
John
