IMHO, if the car drives/operates 'good', and is clean, and looks decent,
and you are not embarrassed to be seen with the car, with  your
wife/girlfriend  at a nice restaurant (a  critical event, regarding
whether a person is  seen as being a  deadbeat/hillbilly/ loser, or an
old car enthiusiast) then go ahead and enjoy it!

A major factor in old car ownership (IMHO) is "making the scene" at an
event.
