Victor,
I was at
Barrett Jackson 2006 and took my own close-up pictures of the 56 D500 Golden
Lancer. It has oval 58 style air cleaners. I also know the restorer personally
and we have discussed the car. It does have dual quads, but the intake
manifold, carbs, and air cleaners are all incorrect. And it has none of the
dash one exhaust components.
While this
car is not a dash one D500, it is a real D500 Golden Lancer. The quality of the
restoration is superb.

copying last years Barrot Jackson auction to DVD from my DVR and there was
a D 500 with 2 4's and the air cleaners were perfectly round.
