Re: [FWDLK] I came across this phrase yesterday

Thanks, Marv.  I love learning little factoids like that.  My nephew recently asked why I seem to know a wide variety of completely useless facts, and I explained that  my chosen profession of advertising is one of the few that almost REQUIRES one to have a mind full of useless crap.

Thanks again, Marv.

I'm not sure why you mention Frigidaire as a word from yesterday,
since the brand is definitely still around.
After a number of different names for early 1915 - 1918 devices for cooling food such as Guardian, Keep-O, Cold-Wave, Jack Frost, December Morn, Kleen-Kold and Northern Light,  William C. Durant, the founder of  GM is credited with inventing and trade marking the name FRIGIDAIRE in 1918.. More than you probably wanted to know but it is interesting how old the name actually is...It became a division of GM in 1919.
