Re: [FWDLK] Fan Belt tension

Service Manual says ¼ inch deflection with a 10 lb pull.

Subject: [FWDLK] Fan Belt tension

Gang,

I just replace the fan belt on my 56 Dodge.   How tight should I tension this belt?   I just pulled the generator back as far as I could and tightened the bolts.   Should I use a lever bar to get more tension or is it good to go?
