Eric

I would definitely call SMS and tell them the carpet is not fitting correctly.  That is after you check the padding on the trans hump.  If it's still short, call them and they should help you out.  I've dealt with them many times and they're really accomodating if they make a mistake.

Glad you could make a tool out of the dimensions and pics I sent you.
John

Thanks John, Roger and Richard for your help!  From pictures and dimensions John sent to me, I made a tool out of a plastic putty knife to remove the door handles.  It was still challenging, but I was able to get them all removed so that I can have the fabric replaced on the door panels.

I got the fabric and carpet from SMS Auto Fabrics in Oregon.  The fabric was very expensive and some was soiled (the upholsterer was able to get the stains out) but the front carpet set didn’t fit well at all.  It is too short on the sides up against the kick panels (about ¾” on each side).  Does anyone have any suggestions for filling this gap?

Thanks again for all of your help!

Regards,

Eric
