Re: [FWDLK] 56 57 58 59 brake booster colors

W. forgot to mention that who in the HELL ever cared about the physical
appearance of any UNDERHOOD component, in one of them "finned"cars (once
they left the dealership)?

So what, if the master cylinder got some rust on it? Any paint on it
would just go bad soon enough, and, you can hardly even see it, down
there.

I mean, like: would ANYBODY ever want to "restore" (what is that
supposed to mean, exactly) a 1950's-built car ??!!

Every master cylinder I have ever seen on any car US or foreign was bare, as cast, metal.  Some new plastic ones are the exception of course.   Why?  Because they are fairly thick walled castings and their function will not be compromised long term even if they externally scale.  The factories knew they would get topping off fluid on them that would eat any finish anyhow.  So the manufacturers, who are in business to make a profit, just left them bare.
