Re: [FWDLK] 56 57 58 59 brake booster colors

Well, probably wouldn't call it "restoration," but a lot of used car dealers in the '50's would steam clean and paint engines. Sometimes their method of painting caused problems with moving parts.

Also there were rare birds, my maternal grampa for instance, who would have their engines and chassis steam cleaned every year.

W. forgot to mention that who in the HELL ever cared about the physical
appearance of any UNDERHOOD component, in one of them "finned"cars (once
they left the dealership)?

So what, if the master cylinder got some rust on it? Any paint on it
would just go bad soon enough, and, you can hardly even see it, down
there.

I mean, like: would ANYBODY ever want to "restore" (what is that
supposed to mean, exactly) a 1950's-built car ??!!
