[FWDLK] 277 engine block same bolt pattern as 1959 318 Poly?

Will the 1956 Plymouth 277 Poly engine w/Powerflite bolt to the 1959 Plymouth 318 Poly with cast iron Torqueflite?

 

My recollection is that the bellhousing bolt pattern is the same and they interchange; do both use the aluminum plate between the engine and trans?
