Re: [FWDLK] Powder Coating Removal

Hi Ron,

Good luck trying to remove the coating. I did some valve covers for my brother. He wasn't happy with the color and tried to sand blast it off. He gave up! He then soaked them in a tank of carburetor cleaner for a couple of days and it loosened the coating. I toured a powder coater with S.M.E. and they burn off their hooks & mistakes. I think that I saw in the Eastwood catalog that they now have a powder coating remover.

Hi All -

Someone gave me a clean master cylinder housing that had been powder coated a glossy brown color. I want to remove the powder coating. Does anyone know the recommended procedure for doing this ?

Thanks,

Ron
