Re: [FWDLK] 413 Rod Bearings

If you are talking about the little notch opposite the locating tabs, I haven't seen those on bearings for some time. If the rods have the notch in them, I just file an opening in the bearing shell. I don't think the post 60s engines had rods with those notches.

Hello;

I am in the process of putting a 413 back together, polished crank etc.. taking my time. I purchased a rebuiliders kit has Clevite bearings. I have a question about the rod bearings. My originals top and bottom have a half moon when put together forms a circle, this circle is for oil flow around the rod bearings. The new Clevite rod bearings do not have this setup for oil flow. Does anyone know of a brand that does?

A picture of the two bearings, old and new, can be found at www.myimperials.com/bearings

Thanks;
