Hello;
I am in the process of placing my rebuilt 413 in a 61 Chrysler Newyorker.
Even though it was not leaking, I thought about replacing the front seal in
the transmission.
The rebuilding book is of a later year 413 . The book shows removing the
seal as you would the front timing chain seal on the engine, with a
screwdriver, prying.
However the 61 torqueflite looks as though it has o ring seals on the
converter flywheel shaft that would requiring removing the oil pump itself
and disassembling it.
Can anyone provide some advice>?
