Re: [FWDLK] push rod question

Ron,

I also have a NOS set of thicker wall/chrome moly High Perf. ISKY Poly 3/8" performance pushrods if that will work for you.

Subject: [FWDLK] push rod question

I have a 57 Plymouth with a 301 V8 and a 318 cam. The engine was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago.

It appears when the engine was re-started after not running for 4 years it might have had a sticky intake valve and bent a pushrod.

I need to replace the push rods and the old push rods appear to be:

Cup and Ball

5/16" shaft

Overall Length 8.574" (8 9/16")

Wall thickness .060

Does anyone know where I can find new pushrods, possibly with a thicker wall of .080

Summit Racing has a length of 8.53" could .004 be taken out in the rocker arm adjustment (they have the .080 wall)?
