Re: [FWDLK] Carb Question

I have JB weld threads on the bowl (bottom, gas on them 24/7) of the center Stromberg 97 in my '27 T hot rod for about 5 years now. Did you clean and scuff the metal Ron?

Ron,

I had success with JB Weld. I mixed a small ball first and soaked it in
gasoline for a week to test if gas would attack it. It remained hard and
firm. I applied a thick fillet around the break, not just a film in the
crack area. It has been working now for nearly 20 years.
