Re: [FWDLK] water distribution tube question

Jesus,

When I restored my '51 Windsor convert Spitfire 6, I was told the water distribution tube was necessary for proper cooling, I would not leave it out.  I don't remember having problems installing it or that it was poor quality.  Using the proper amount of antifreeze with anti-corrosion properties is important to keep the internal parts from rusting so be sure to not run straight water.

Subject: [FWDLK] water distribution tube question

I am still working on my '55 Ply 6 cyl restoration and I am just wondering if the water distribution tube is really necessary. After all, the water pump forces the water well into the engine block.

Has anyone done an engine restoration where the water distribution tube was or was not replaced?

Thanks

Jesus '55 Ply 6 cyl
