If one can make a high quality, readily available battery look reasonably "correct", all the better. But I really don't
lose a lot of sleep over details like this. I drive my cars and the experience is about the moving through the world in
the period-appearing car, not counting rivets and hoping Rainman kind of people will give me a ribbon for hanging
around on some hot tarmac all weekend.
I like the chocolate covered raisins and almonds from Costco, but fighting my way through the fat fxck grazers and
their gluttonous kids grubbing at the sample stands makes me think of route clearance applications.
Walmart is just a lower class of BRT's (bon-bon readiness trainees) that really raise questions about what defines
"humanity".
NAPA has been a good source of batteries for me for 40 years. They stand behind their products and I usually get
many years of reliable service out of them.
Since car shows and trophies rank only one step above heavy dental work and severe constipation in my world, I use
the largest battery my tray can hold and make a proper looking hold down to secure it. Since the only time the hood
will be raised in public might be at a gas station, anyone wishing to let me know the battery isn't correct will likely be
laughed at with a few choice words that would make Gunny proud.
