Re: [FWDLK] 1619826 1956 dodge 277 - 318 intake manifold

That manifold is a 1956 Plymouth 277 intake but will fit all the 1956-66 Poly engines. However, the carb pattern is a “square” and will require an adapter to fit anything other than the “square” bolt pattern 1956 WCFB carburetor.
If you want an original look then go with the cast iron four barrel, preferably the 1957-62 cast iron four barrel with the “H” style AFB/AVS and later WCFB carb pattern.  If you are not concerned with originality then I would suggest going with the New Poly Aluminum 4bbl. Wind Tunnel intake now being cast for all the 1956-66 277-318-326 Poly engines.

But don’t you have a 1956 Dodge you are building?  For what engine are you requiring a four barrel intake?  Offy has all the 1956-1958 Dodge Poly intakes brand new...

I looked up the casting number 1619826 in the parts book, 1956-57 Plymouth.

Dodge had the “A” engine in 1959 on the lesser models like Coronet, it was the largest “A” engine ever but the smallest 1959 Dodge engine.

Seller states Dodge but it sure looks like a Plymouth 277/301/303/318 4bbl intake to me, and if so should be scooped up by someone.

Part #1619826?

Did Dodge ever have the 277/301/303 engines? What year did they get the 318 A motor?
