Re: [FWDLK] 56 Plymouth Brake hoses

Hi Nick, the Raybestoes/United/NAPA number for the rear hose is 10304.  Our books show this to be 17” overall length.  I’ve never seen a car like yours that didn’t use the 17” length.  The next length up for this configuration is 19 3/4” and is part number 38172.  A 20 7/8” hose is part number 36501.   Some suppliers prefix these numbers with the letters “BH”  I can supply these if you need help finding them.

Good luck

No good there. His hoses are the same length as the ones I found local..

I have another hose coming in tomorrow from the flaps that may work. I also wound up driving a half hour to a place who on the phone said they could make custom brake hoses. I get there and they can make custom hydraulic hoses but nothing as small as brake hoses…I really wish people would listen when I talk.

Subject: [FWDLK] 56 Plymouth Brake hoses

Anyone know where I can look at brake hose specs.

I need a new on for the rear of my 56 Plymouth. Goes from the frame to the rear diff. The hose listed in the parts books is 2 inches shorter than the one I have on my car and I need the extra 2 inches. I'm not sure if at some point I used a hose from a different application (although I've looked up every application I could think of) or maybe the book have changed their listing from years ago and went to a different hose.

The book lists a 17" hose and I have a 19".

Thanks for any help.

Nick
