Re: [FWDLK] Power Windows

In theory it seems like a straightforward mechanical job.  In practice, who knows.

I found some hits under “rubber door jamb wire loom.”  Probably none match the original so it depends on your level of authenticity, but since you mentioned contacts that doesn’t seem to be an issue.  If looks are not an issue one of the aftermarket loom sets should function.  Why go through the grief of experimenting with other methods?

You didn’t mention the number of doors.  If they’re different between cars, you’re in for a challenge.

The door frames on my MoPars of that vintage are pre-cut for the window switches so that’s not a problem.

Subject: [FWDLK] Power Windows

I have a parts car, 1956 Dodge Royal, with power windows.  I want to install the windows on my 1956 Dodge Custom Royal.  What alligators await my effort?  My doors are not drilled for the cable tube.  Is there a better way of getting the cables out of the door?  Spring loaded contacts? Has anyone made this conversion before?
