Re: [FWDLK] Power Windows

I bought repro rubber sleeves to route wires from the door power windows to the door post.  I used a metal hole drill and there is a dimple in the door post and door where you need to drill. Door has to come off.  I think it was an 1 inch hole, but wait until you get the sleeves which I bought from that fellow in Montana.  I think he is out of business.  If you can't find repro sleeves, you can make them out of rubber hose with rubber washers at each end to hold them in place.  Glue the washers in place so the sleeve does not come out of the hole.

This is experience from putting power windows on my 56 Fury.

I have a parts car, 1956 Dodge Royal, with power windows.  I want to install the windows on my 1956 Dodge Custom Royal.  What alligators await my effort?  My doors are not drilled for the cable tube.  Is there a better way of getting the cables out of the door?  Spring loaded contacts? Has anyone made this conversion before?
