Re: [FWDLK] Master Cylinder Brake Light Switch

I use 60s style brake light switches, so far every 65 through early 70s mopars appear to use this style switch, a little custom bracketry mat be necessary on the 56, but for 57 through 59s, which I've set up at least 35 times now, they work great, I can take a pic of the installation if anyone would like to see.  I still have enough NOS stop switches to offer up to 5 to this group, as I bought a case of them about 10 years ago.

Subject: [FWDLK] Master Cylinder Brake Light Switch

I bought the car in '99. 1 of the 1st problems I had to deal with was an empty MC Reservoir. The Brake Light Switch leaked. That caused the Brake Lights to stay on even when the car was turned off. My neighbor called me to say "Your Tail Lights are on". I was wondering why the battery was dead & the Tail Light Lenses were drooping. I've replaced the Brake Light Switch twice since then & I'm having a reoccurance of the same problem. This time I'd like to solve the problem permanently. A Mechanical Stop Switch is the obvious fix. What Mehanical Switch did you use?
Thanks for any info you can provide.
